Terms of use

Updated on 18 October 2026

This is a translation. If in doubt, the Spanish version prevails.

These terms govern the use of CRIN, the platform for riding clubs, riders and equestrian professionals run by CRIN’s owner. By creating an account or using CRIN’s apps you accept them.

What CRIN is

CRIN is a platform for equestrian clubs and centres: competitions with online entries and payment, riding school and yard, arenas, equestrian professionals, requests with approval and payments with Stripe, in one app for the club, its riders and its professionals.

CRIN brings clubs, riders and professionals together and gives them the tools to organise themselves. Equestrian services (competitions, lessons, horse care, professional services) are provided by the clubs and the professionals, not by CRIN.

Your account

  • To use the apps you need an account with true, up-to-date details.
  • Minors have no account: their mother, father or guardian follows them from their own, and books, asks and pays for them.
  • Your account is personal: look after access to it and let us know if anyone uses it without your permission.
  • You can close your account whenever you like by writing to info@crinhorses.com.

Competition entries

  • Whoever organises the competition (the club) sets the classes, prices, places, stables and rules, and decides whether to validate each entry. CRIN shows that information and handles the entry on the club’s behalf.
  • If a class is full, you join the waiting list without paying; if a place comes free, the club offers it to you and lets you know so you can pay for it.
  • With your entry confirmed (or on the waiting list) you appear on the list of who is going to each class (name, horse, club and status), which anyone can see, and on your rider file, which people with an account can see; the club publishes the start list and the results in the app and on the competition’s public page, where minors always appear with their initials.
  • Withdrawals and refunds follow the competition’s rules, shown before you pay. Booking fees, when the club passes them on, aren’t refunded.
  • Competition entries and bookings for a specific date are leisure services for a set date, so they carry no right of withdrawal (Article 103(l) of Spain’s General Law for the Defence of Consumers and Users): the refund rules of the competition or the booking apply.

Payments

  • Payments are made with Stripe. You pay the club or the professional, who is paid into their own Stripe account and is the one who provides you with the service.
  • CRIN charges the club a commission on entries and stables, which the club decides whether to pass on to the rider as a booking fee; in that case it appears in the breakdown before you pay.
  • If the bank declines a payment, nothing is charged and you can try again with another card.
  • CRIN doesn’t keep your card details.

Requests and services

  • Lessons, care, rides, professionals’ services and travel are asked for with a request that goes through whoever has to approve it: your coach, your club or the professional. Nobody charges you anything without your accepting it.
  • A lesson or a ride you ask your coach for is paid when you ask, but the amount is only held on your card and doesn’t reach the club until your coach (or the club) accepts it: if they decline it, if you withdraw it first or if nobody accepts it in time (a day before the hold expires, about 6 days after asking), it is released and you aren’t charged anything. If you pay for several together, they are charged at once when all of them have an answer, and only the accepted ones; you get a notice with what you are charged. If in the end the card can’t be charged, the accepted lesson stays pending payment. Once charged, cancelling it follows the club’s cancellation rules.
  • Whoever provides the service (the club or the professional) is responsible for providing it well and on time. The professionals in CRIN are independent: CRIN doesn’t provide veterinary, farriery or any other services.

Proper use

  • Don’t use CRIN for unlawful purposes or to bother other people.
  • Don’t impersonate anyone or publish other people’s data without their permission.
  • Don’t upload illegal or offensive content, or content that infringes third parties’ rights.
  • Don’t try to reach data or functions that aren’t yours, or to interfere with how the service works.

CRIN may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.

Your content

The data and files you upload remain yours or your club’s. You give us permission to keep them and show them, within the service, to the people who need to see them, only to provide it. CRIN’s brand, design and software belong to its owner.

Availability and liability

We work to keep CRIN always available, but there may be interruptions for maintenance or for reasons beyond our control. CRIN is liable for damage it causes through wilful misconduct or gross negligence and in the other cases set by law; it isn’t liable for the services the clubs and professionals provide or for the decisions they take.

Clubs

The clubs that sign up to CRIN also sign a contract with their plan, their commission and the processing of their members’ and pupils’ data on their behalf.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms to adapt them to the law or to the service. We will publish the new version with its date and, if the change is important, we will let you know before it applies.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you can go to the courts of your place of residence. For any question or complaint, write to info@crinhorses.com.
